Short version: the prices are published vendor list prices, read at source and dated; they go stale; they are not advice about your business; nobody is paying for their placement; and if a vendor’s own page disagrees with a page here, the vendor is right.
Who these terms are with
This site is published by THE FAR EYE, SL. Using it means reading these terms as they stand on the day you read them. There is no account to open, nothing to buy, and no contract to enter into here — which is why these terms are short, and why they contain no cancellation policy, no refund policy and no delivery policy. There is nothing to cancel, refund or deliver.
Using what is here
Read it, quote it, argue with it. If you cite a figure, cite the date it was read alongside it — a software price without a date is a rumour. The prose, tables and illustrations on this site are the publisher’s own work; the underlying prices are facts published by the vendors and belong to nobody. Republishing whole pages verbatim is not permitted; quoting them with attribution and a link is, and is welcome.
Accuracy, and its limits
Every price here was read from the vendor’s own published page on the date shown. Vendors change pricing without notice and without announcement. If a vendor’s current page disagrees with a page here, the vendor’s page is right. Figures this site could not obtain at source are marked and left blank; they are never estimated, never taken from a comparison site, and never inferred from a similar product.
Several vendors in this market publish no price at all. Those are marked quote-gated rather than assigned a number. A quote-gated product is not expensive by implication and not cheap by implication — it is unknown, and this site says so instead of filling the gap.
Promotional pricing has an expiry date and this site treats that date as part of the fact. A promotion whose stated deadline has passed is labelled as such and its total is shown lapsed rather than quietly left standing — and rather than deleted, because a reader who is quoted that number needs to be able to recognise it. Where a vendor still displays an offer after its own stated deadline, this site says the deadline has passed and does not say the offer was withdrawn. Those are different claims and only one of them is checkable.
Not advice
Nothing here is business, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing here accounts for your circumstances. The calculator tells you what a published price list produces for the numbers you entered. It does not know what a vendor would actually offer you, what your migration would cost, or what your crew will tolerate. Decisions about your business are yours.
Names that belong to other people
Every product and company named on this site is the trademark of its owner, used to identify what is being described. Their appearance is not sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation, in either direction. No commercial relationship exists with any company named here and none has been sought.
Liability
This site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for a decision taken on the basis of a figure here. Check the vendor’s own current pricing page before acting on anything. That is not a formality — it is the same instruction every page on this site gives, for the same reason.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or anything the law reserves to a consumer.
Governing law
The publisher is established in Spain and these terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Changes
These terms change when the site changes. The version you are reading is the one that applies. There is no archive of previous versions yet; when there is, it is linked from this line rather than described in the past tense.
Affiliate disclosure. Pages on this site may carry affiliate links. If one does, and you sign up through it, this site may be paid a referral fee by the vendor. It costs you nothing and does not change what is written — every price here comes from the vendor’s own published page either way. Disclosure is made under the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255, as revised June 2023. No affiliate relationship is currently active and no affiliate link appears anywhere on this site.
