This site carries no advertising and earns nothing. That will not always be true, so this page states what exists today, what would exist if it changed, and the rule that governs both.
What is active today
- Advertising: none. No ad network account, no publisher identifier, no ad tag on any page, and no ad request is made by anything on this site.

The rule, which does not change when the money does
A commercial relationship never changes a figure, an ordering or a verdict. Every price on this site comes from the vendor’s own published page and resolves to a ledger entry with a read date, and that pipeline has no input for a commission rate. A vendor cannot become cheaper here by paying, cannot move up an ordering by paying, and cannot get a quote-gated label softened by paying. If that ever stops being true, this site has stopped being worth reading and the right response is to stop reading it.
If affiliate links are ever added
Disclosure would be made under the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255, as revised June 2023, which require a disclosure to be clear and conspicuous: difficult to miss, easily understandable, matched to the medium, and unavoidable in interactive media. In practice that means it appears on the page carrying the link, near the link, not only on this page and not only in a footer.
The disclosure would also say which vendors, because “this page may contain affiliate links” tells a reader nothing they can act on. A reader who knows which two of six vendors pay a referral fee can read the comparison with that in mind; a reader told only that some link somewhere might pay cannot.
If advertising is ever switched on
The site’s layout already reserves named positions for advertising and they are switched off and fail closed — there is no ad tag, no identifier and no third-party script anywhere in it. Switching them on would require, before a single ad is served: naming the network and every third-party vendor on the privacy notice; publishing a cookie inventory and a consent mechanism on the cookies page; and updating this page. All three change before the first ad request, not after it.
Two placement rules are part of the design rather than a promise. No advertisement is placed inside, beside, or within reach of the calculator’s inputs, buttons or results, because a reader mis-clicking an ad while trying to compute a price is being tricked whatever the intention. And no advertisement sits above the first paragraph of an article. Both are measured by the build rather than asserted here.
How to check any of this
Open your browser’s network panel on any page of this site. Loading a page and using its tools makes no request to any other company’s server — not for a font, not for a script, not for an image, not for an advertisement. The one request this site can make on its own behalf is a count of outbound clicks, described on the privacy notice, which carries only the hostname of the site you are leaving for and nothing about you. That is a claim you can falsify in about ten seconds, which is the only kind worth printing.
